Salaries may be high in some cities, but so is the cost of living. You’ll want to gain experience through an internship or an entry-level job, and there are plenty of cities that offer both. Keep your mind open, but be smart about your decisions when it comes to your first job. Some paid internships even lead to full-time positions, so if you’re set on a certain city, see if you can get a paid internship also.
See what the community is like
It’s always worth looking into the community of your job or industry in the city you plan to move to. Networking is great for professional development, and if there are any conferences in the area, you could be exposed to valuable learning experiences. A city with a good job network opens plenty of opportunities and drives discussion, and it allows you to expand from your inner circle of coworkers.
